About lab-i

lab-i is a research project dedicated to helping scientists automatically organize laboratory images. In modern research, the volume of visual data—from microscopy to tissue samples—often outpaces our ability to manually categorize and retrieve it.

By focusing on automated organization, we aim to save researchers valuable time, improve experimental workflows, and contribute to shared tools that benefit the entire research community.

How It Works

Our current focus is the data collection phase. Researchers contribute raw laboratory images which are then used to train sophisticated machine learning models.

These models will later power a comprehensive application for automated image organization and retrieval, enabling researchers to find specific experimental specimens or features with unprecedented speed and accuracy.
